Member Benefits

Students

Our Center for Human Resource Management (CHRM)  corporate partners not only have access to some of the best business students in the country, they also have the opportunity to teach those students in a classroom setting.  We have an open door for our partners to come into the classroom and discuss current issues and hot topics.  Students are kept abreast of current trends and executives get to know our students—a win-win situation! A majority of our Masters in Human Resource students are hired by CHRM corporate partners.  Access to this quality of student with direct influence on their education is one of the core reasons CHRM partners value their membership.

Research

CHRM Corporate partners have unique access to some of the top management scholars in the world.  From understanding the importance of the composition of top management teams, how executive pay affects firm performance, to learning ways to reduce organizational withdrawal or how to structure work to be more engaging and fulfilling, the faculty at Texas A&M are asking the right questions and finding answers that improve the practice of HRM and enhance human capital.

CHRM corporate partners have the opportunity to work hand in hand with our faculty, creating cutting edge research to be conducted within their own organizations.  Our partners have access to the most current thinking in the field.  We are the only organization that provides access to this level of inquiry and quality of faculty in the southern United States.

Networking

CHRM provides numerous opportunities to network with top HR executives and HR scholars. We also host two CHRM board meetings each year--one in College Station, the other in Dallas or Houston.  Board meetings give our partners the ability to act as a sounding board for each other. Ideas generated have spurred innovative changes in the way we train our students and even how our corporate partners conduct their HR practices.

Executive education

CHRM is interested in providing innovative and meaningful executive education experiences. We tailor executive education seminars to your company’s specific needs. This is a very different approach from the “one size fits all” model prevalent at most training seminars.
