Welcome to the Center for Human Resource Management

Thank you for your interest in the Center for Human Resource Management (CHRM). I hope our website gives you an accurate indication of the high quality programs and people that contribute to the success of our center and the HR program at Mays Business School.

With the help of our CHRM corporate partners we are making great strides in achieving our vision, which is to be recognized globally as a center of excellence in HR education, research, and practice. With the suggestions and input of our board we continue to strengthen the quality of the Master of Science in Human Resource (MSHRM) program. Mays Business School is dedicated to producing principled, thoughtful, and insightful MSHRM graduates who are ready to create value for their organizations and communities to make a difference in their world. CHRM will also be calling on our CHRM corporate partners to support CHRM efforts to develop educational opportunities for practicing HR professionals

Our alumni and the famous Aggie Network play a significant role in helping our students find employment and provide support to CHRM in impactful ways. We will work with our Aggie alums to sponsor regular meetings in Houston, Dallas and other cities in order to provide further support to each other and to strengthen links with CHRM.

We are always on the lookout for ways to expand our board and increase interaction between HR professionals and our faculty and students. For example, the director of the MS program, Dr. Ryan Zimmerman, has recently launched an initiative to increase the number of scholarships and internships available to our students. If you are interested in donating, drop Dr. Zimmerman an email to that effect. We welcome partnerships with businesses for mutually beneficial research opportunities with faculty and students. And we welcome opportunities to share best practices, discuss emerging HR Issues and strengthen outreach efforts with our supporters, alumni, and students.
